The US says it has killed yet another “senior al-Qaida leader”. Not bin Laden, someone a few boxes down on the org chart.
You can tell that the folks running this war have spent their entire lives in politics or the military. If they had spent some time in the business world, they’d know that the quickest way to cripple an organization is to increase its ranks of middle-management, not thin them.
Instead of firing laser-guided missiles at these guys, we should be sending them laser pointers and complementary copies of Powerpoint.
Ideally, we would also send them to lots of those seminars where motivational speakers spend hours talking about teamwork and leadership. Plus the ones about cultural sensitivity, workplace safety, corporate ethics, computer user ergonomics and disaster preparedness. By the time they had done all that, the war would be won.

In fact, the DoD has banned powerpoint at the Pentagon because of the tech/admin overhead, the bullet-point mindset, and the general productivity losses associated with endless tinkering with transitions and such. Apparently Powerpoint is something we wouldn’t use ourselves or on our worst enemy.
In any case, bomb the enemy with Administratium-based weaponry would be unforgivable.

Not many people realize that a shell corporation owned Al Qaeda payed Jack Welch consulting fees in the early ’90s. Since then they’ve cut their bottom 10% peformers every year. Cooncidence? I think not.
