- I will be on the teevee this evening, telling a story for the pilot of A Guide to Visitors. You can see it on The Seattle Channel, this evening at 9:00. Or, if you are one of the seven people on teh NetarWeb that has “RealPlayer” installed, you can watch it online here (my story is third).
- I am currently getting a ton of traffic from this URL: http://buzzfeed.com/buzz/Asslessness.
- I was just joking about having written “a novella which retells Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope from the point of view of the Garbage creature,” but the number of people sent email expressing interest in reading it was, frankly, terrifying.
- Oh man, this I love.
- A Google search indicates that no one has ever formed a heavy metal Christian band called “BC/AD.” That’s just unacceptable, people.

There was a Christian Progressive Rock band “AD” formed by at that time ex-Kansas Guitar player Kerry Livgren…

..but alas, not BC/AD
:-)
BC/AD’s first single, “Dirty Deeds, Done For 30 Shekels”.
I, too, am interested in your imaginary novella about the garbage creature. I can picture a series of novellas on minor Star Wars creatures: the tauntaun, the Rancor beast, the Sarlacc, the falumpaset…
you’re late to the party! BC/AD was already used as a song title by Nocturnus, thus pissing in the pool before any Christian Metal bands could make use of the name.
about the band: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nocturnus

Someone’s WAAAAYY behind on their 90’s death metal.
Also, this was a BBC (Mock) Rock Opera a year or so ago:

Catch up!
Did you know that, actually, AC/DC means “BC/AD” in Spanish? As a kid, I always thought that
I will be tuning in. This better be good.
Well, now you realize you HAVE to write said novella. Count me as one of those that e-mailed you about it, and it was the first time I’ve e-mailed you about anything. It sounds like it would be an interesting story, if told well, so I don’t see why the fact that people would want to read it is terrifying. Why must you lie to the internet? Why?
The following is from http://www.worshipmusic.com/16032.html
“BC/AD presents God’s plan for salvation through song with topics like Chris Harris’ moving rendition of ‘Unfailing Love’ and Lisa Cogburn’s jubilant ‘Who Split The Earth.’ Not only will this great recording draw you to listen again and again, but it’s message will hopefully draw many into a saving knowledge of Christ. Songs chosen according to the Four Spiritual Laws for easy evangelistic presentation.
“This is a very special project with a definite focus on the Gospel. WorshipMusic.com & Integrity Music are partnering together to offer this CD to you at the lowest price possible. We are not interested in making a profit from this CD, rather we hope that it can be used as a tool for evangelism. We feel that this is a great opportunity for believers to give this as a gift to friends/family who don’t yet have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.”
What’s that? Oh yes! There is a band B.C./A.D and they released a self-titled album in 1999. You can purchase it from the above link for $9.98.
They have an artist entry on ArtistDirect:

Sorry, DY, but your Google ski11z seem to be lacking…

Barnacle Buzzkill?
There’s a brilliant show in Britain called The Mighty Boosh. It’s hi-larious. After two seasons, they came out with a BBC Christmas special – a rock opera called AD/BC. Very Jesus Christ, very sharp, very funny.
Hehe let’s keep searching band names with 4 letters and a slash in the middle! AB/BA is a 70ies Swedish band :-P
“Or, if you are one of the seven people on teh NetarWeb that has “RealPlayer” installed, you can watch it online here (my story is third).”
Use “Real Alternative”.
Wasn’t there a story about the Star Wars creature in the desert? The one that ate Baba Fett. The Sarlacc I believe.
Also, here is the address for all the Star Wars creature listing for the ambitious writers out there.
I agree with anonymous poster: write the garbage monster book! If so many people wrote you about you clearly have the germ of a good idea.
I think that there was no BC/AD because Stryper was more Christian rock than this world could handle. The best consolation that I can offer is that there is a an all female AC/DC cover band called AC/DShe.
Hey, I saw you on the teevee quite by accident. You were very funny. I didn’t in fact put it together that the funny dude on the television was you until I saw your pix today with the Squirrelly…. er, Squiggle. So yeah, way to go, like a week late.
