WASHINGTON (AFP) - President George W. Bush vowed that strikes on US-led forces in Iraq would not lead the United States to "leave prematurely" and defiantly challenged any foes in the war-torn nation to attack US troops.
"There are some who feel like that, you know, the conditions are such that they can attack us there. My answer is, bring'em on!," he said.

I generally support Pres. Bush and I particularly supported the war against Iraq (and no, I don’t care if we ever find any WMDs, I still think it was “a good cause”), but I just cannot conceive of a good reason to EVER have said this.

My hope is that the families of the troops will hear this and become aware of just how ridiculous this situation has become.

I’m not a GW fan, but come on, people – Bush is not challenging Iraqi’s to attack our troops. I know it may sound that way, but he’s a dimwitted cowboy, you have to do a little translating. You know he meant that our troops will kick ass, when/if provoked.
