Ahead Of The Curve

The trick to making a bajillion dollars off a fad, of course, is to get way ahead of the curve.

That’s why, for a limited time only, I’ll be selling bumperstickers (and other merchandise) to my conservative readers.

Be the first to slap one on your car, January 21, 2005!

Update According to whois, “impeachdean.com” was registered in Novemember of last year. So was “impeachclark.com.” Curiously, “impeachkucinich.com” is still available …

  1. Wouldn’t that be assuming that Dean was capable of being caught doing something impeachable. It’s not like his children drink and drive, regularly flip state troopers the “bird” and in advertently get caught on presidents daughters gone wild videos (ok not outright Impeachable, but i’m sure some liberties were taken to get the girls home) . Or as if he’s chosen a VP who’s ties to big business make Ken Lay look like big fish in a small pond. Or even as if he has shown certain affinities towards specialty cigars and buxom interns. To top our last two esteemed presidents he

  2. Chris, it’s not like a president actually has to commit an impeachable offense to start the Impeachment Bandwagon a-rollin’!

  3. target = conservatives. you know, the ones who are so anally retentive they can’t sit down for fear of sucking up the furniture. the ones who are now unable to move thanks to the magical wonderment of the botox

  4. If you only make them available to your conservative readers you’ll sell, what, like five of them?

You could sell Impeach Bush thongs but of course he wasn’t really elected was he?

  5. I just re-read that last sentence. Impeach Bush thongs. Double entendre’s anyone?

Oh, and I’m still waiting to order my “Slap Me With Brie” shirt.

  6. Well IMPEACH HILARY gear might be a little TOO foward thinking.

Maybe we should just Censure her, i’m sure then she’ll learn her lesson. Maybe we should disbar her too. I mean that’ll REALLY teach her a lesson.

  7. Actually, I think the remnants of Dean’s presidential hopes were found in a spider-hole outside of Tikrit. Along with some guy, I can’t remember who.

    Nice try, though…

  8. No, No, No, that was Sadaam Hussein.
I know people are forever confusing Dean and Hussein, but eventually you figure this has got to look bad for Hussein.
I’m surprised his minister of press hasn

  9. Actually, “Impeach Hillary” merchandise has been around for a while. I remember way back in ’93-’94 during the health care fiasco, I frequently saw “Impeach Hillary” bumper stickers, and a classmate of mine had an “IH” shirt that he proudly wore every time he was going to walk past the White House (we went to school at GW a few blocks away, so this actually did happen from time to time).

Me, I chose to get a life instead, but that was his decision…

  10. Actually hitler was very electable. Back in 1936 he was quite the public speaker. People still study the films of him speaking, he was that good. Now concerning his Foreign Policy, that had some “issues”.
Remember the rise to megolmaniac dictator status is not often seen with out charisma.

  11. The trick to making HALF a bajillion dollars off a fad, of course, is to rip off a good idea and make it your own.

That’s why I am in the process of marketing “Don’t Blame Me, I Voted For Dean” merchandise on my site.

  12. Wow. Bob Kerry mortgages his house to fund his campaign, and internet pundits don’t even have the decency to make impeachment bumper stickers for him. It’s a sad world we live in.

  13. Well you see that’s the problem to be a pre election “Impeachment” worthy candidate you need to be willing to mortgage the House, the Senate, and part of your soul. Bob Kerry is just too decent of a guy to merit such treatment out of the box.

But cheer up there’s always hope, some clever Photoshop work and you can start a website claiming he married Brittany Spears on a whim, but summarily had it annulled due to the fact she sobered up.

  14. I think stickergiant.com had the best idea (unless they got it from someone else)…I bought a pin from them that says “He is not my president”. I can reuse it as necessary.

  15. Yeah…JOHN Kerry. Maybe that explains why no one’s trying to impeach him, yet. He’s gotta get that name thingy straightened out. I mean, he’s only been in the Senate for how many years? And they named a hand lotion after him, too.

  16. No I meant BOB kerrey of Nebraska.
You know, the Ex Navy seal that admited to the shooting dozens of women and children, although several reports state that they were shot due to heavy cross fire.
I personally won’t vote for him, but i’ll admit, the man has SACK, he admits war is ugly and didn’t back down from tough questions. He says he still has nightmares about vietnam.

“who the hell is BOB Kerry?”

  17. I’m still unsure how you go about wearing a thong as a shirt, as it suggests in the ad. It might be too cold for that next january.

  23. One question that’s been burning inside me is why would any one want to impeach Dean Martin? For goodness sake the man died on christmas day (ok christmas day 1995, but still christmas day). I just think that posthumous impeachment of the man would be outright mean.

  24. Dean Martin? There’s obviously been some confusion. The Republicans want to impeach Jimmy Dean. Not the man himself, of course, but his Fresh Taste Fast Fully Cooked Bacon.
